19 - 23 FEBRUARY 2019

FFO has adapted this wonderful work by Dvorak, based on the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, The Little Mermaid, into a 45 minute version of the opera suitable for children. The cast is comprised of a witch (Caitlin Cassidy), a water goblin (Kris Bowtell), a prince (Jun Zhang), a little mermaid (Prudence Sanders) and a narrator (Jessie Ward).

Caroline Badnall (pianist and musical director), Anya Seabourne and Rachel McDonald (writers), Robbie Harrold (designer), Andries Weidemann and Rachel McDonald (directors).

We can't wait to launch this show in February 2019 at Camelot Theatre. Rusalka is generously supported by a grant from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries. It is the vision of FFO to tour this show to schools in metropolitan and regional WA in order to give as many children as possible their first experience of opera.
